It’s gonna be Father’s Day this coming Sunday, June the 20th. I would and should get all emotional when talking about fathers. I lost my most caring beloved ayah last year to a heart failure and never in any time that I don’t think of him and it makes me miss him most.
“O Allah, forgive ayah and have mercy on him and give him strength and pardon him. Be generous to him and cause his entrance to be wide and wash him with water and snow and hail. Cleanse him of his transgressions as white cloth is cleansed of stains. Give him an abode better than his home, and a family better than his family and a wife better than his wife. Take him into Paradise and protect him from the punishment of the grave.”
I guess, though it’s cliche, the undeniable truth in the saying ‘you never know how much you miss somebody or something until they are gone’ is undoubtful. Alhamdulillah, I’m glad that I have the best father who has always been an anchor to hold me back and allow me to stand strong to where I am today.
How am I not grateful for having a father like him and now that I have my dear husband who has taken charge of being the anchor to my life? I can never thank Allah for the gift He gave and never stop giving, Alhamdulillah.
My dear husband is the best father to our children. When a father speaks, his children hear the love in his voice above all else. His love to them is eternal, with no end. He leads their children down the path to adulthood in the hopes they leap beyond the boundaries and forge new ones. And I know, he is trying his best to be the greatest father to his children because he has one of himself. Yup, my father in law is so admirable and the reason for my dear hubby to grow and be the best father himself. InshaAllah.

And when he reached [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." (As-Soffat 37:102)
A father could touch a heart in many special ways. He can always be counted on, always has time, always encouraging. Whenever I need advice or someone to just listen, Dad is always the man. The confidence he has in me is terrifying and encouraging all at the same time.
